Agency News

Marketing communications agency Wray Ward has hired Katie Moore as writer and Melissa Hartkopf as digital designer. Both are part of the agency’s creative group.

“Katie and Melissa have a track record of producing exceptional work that connects with target audiences and generates results,” said John Roberts, vice president and executive creative director for Wray Ward. “We’re thrilled to bring their creative talent to our team.”

Moore comes to Wray Ward from MTV, where she worked as a writer/producer. In her role, Moore developed original creative concepts to promote scripted and reality-driven programming, integrated marketing and tent-pole events including the MTV Movie Awards and Video Music Awards. She also worked closely with MTV’s on-air design team to develop key art concepts and overall looks for launch campaigns. Moore’s work was recognized at the MTV Video Music Awards with the Creativity Integrated Campaign Design Award in 2014 and the PromaxBDA Award in 2013.

In addition to her work with MTV, Moore was a freelance writer with JEAN Productions and LOGO On-Air Promos, writing and producing original creative concepts for network clients including TBS, USA and Lifetime as well as topical scripts for the comedy news series “The Straight Out Report.”

A native of Charlotte, Moore graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, earning a bachelor of arts in media communications.

Hartkopf previously worked for Red Clay Interactive in Buford, Georgia, where she was a web designer and created clean, interactive digital designs for clients including South State Bank, Georgia Chamber Exchange, SouthernLINC and eKoffee. She created a web design for eKoffee that was honored with an Outstanding Website award.

A graduate of Pensacola Christian College, Hartkopf earned a bachelor of arts in graphic design and minors in advertising and web development.
