Crescent Communities has named four builder partners for Forest Ridge, its new residential community in the town of Hillsborough. Amward Homes, Legacy Custom Homes, Wardson Construction and Saussy Burbank will offer the first 75 of 233 homes, representing phase one of the 116-acre, master-planned development.

“Forest Ridge will offer residents a tremendous opportunity to live a balanced life with short commutes, social amenities and access to green spaces,” said Keith Glenn, senior vice president for the Carolinas and Tennessee for Crescent’s residential group. “We look forward to working with our terrific team of builders.”

Forest Ridge will initially offer three types of homes. Saussy Burbank will build townhomes with prices beginning in the $200,000s and single family homes with prices from the $300,000s. Amward Homes, Legacy Custom Homes and Wardson Construction will build custom homes with prices in the $500,000s and $600,000s.

New homes are now under construction and available for purchase. Planned amenities include a Junior Olympic pool, multi-sport playfield and community trail system with 25 acres of preserved riverfront. Across the street from the community, the Orange County Sportsplex offers indoor swimming, ice skating and other wellness activities.

“Forest Ridge will be a place where neighbors can connect and enjoy Hillsborough’s small-town charm while still having access to the area’s numerous employment opportunities, entertainment options and cultural attractions,” said Scott Munday, vice president for Crescent’s residential group. “From the region’s major universities and hospitals to Hillsborough’s boutique shops, restaurants, galleries and historic buildings, Forest Ridge strikes a perfect balance between the advantages of an urban center and the charms of small-town life.”

Forest Ridge is positioned to become certified as North Carolina’s first Four-Star National Green Building Standard™ land development; four-star certification is the highest level awarded. The community is also expected to become the largest certified National Green Building Standard ™ land development in the state and one of the largest in the nation. Homes, featuring traditional architecture and modern conveniences, are designed to achieve Energy Star and National Home Builder Association Bronze-Star certifications.

Forest Ridge, located in North Carolina’s Triangle region, is one of six residential communities by Crescent in North Carolina.
