This year, Wray Ward is excited to evolve our EmpoWWer program by focusing on volunteer opportunities for our team of 100+ employees within the Charlotte nonprofit community. We invite you to submit your proposals between November 1 and December 31 for half-day or daylong volunteer experiences. We look forward to partnering with you to make a lasting difference.

Volunteer Requirements & Preparation What should our employees know before they arrive? Please specify any physical requirements (e.g., ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods), required skills or necessary attire (e.g., closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty).

Tools, Materials & Costs Will your organization provide all the necessary tools, materials and supplies for the project? If not, please list what you would need our company to provide. Are there any associated costs or requested financial contributions for this project?

Schedule & Agenda Please provide a sample agenda for a half-day (4 hours) or a full-day (7-8 hours) project. Be sure to include time for introductions, instructions, the main volunteer activity, breaks and a wrap-up.

Weather Contingency Plan Is this project dependent on the weather? If so, what is your contingency plan in case of inclement weather? Do you have an alternative indoor project, or would we need to reschedule?

Sharing Your Story How will our employees learn about your organization's work and impact during the volunteer day? (e.g., a brief welcome presentation, a tour, a story from a client). Additionally, are you comfortable with our company taking photos/videos to share internally and on social media?
