The Social Media Manager - Paid is responsible for the buying, implementation and daily optimization of paid social campaigns across Wray Ward clients including all self-service and managed social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn).

The Social Media Manager - Paid would also be responsible for most client-facing communications, updates and recommendations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Social Media Manager - Paid

  • Own the buying, execution and optimization of paid campaigns across multiple social channels

  • Ensure campaign delivery, performance and client goals are being fulfilled as scheduled

  • Plan and manage allocated campaigns and their respective budgets, and implement new initiatives that exceed client KPIs

  • Optimize campaigns on a daily basis, and suggest creative changes when needed

  • Provide social budget recommendations to the planning and client services team based on targeting capabilities, audience sizes and KPIs

  • Deliver monthly client reports, verify data accuracy and provide analyses

Communication Skills

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively to internal teams and clients

  • Communicate in a clear, coherent and professional manner

  • Listen well and solve problems to achieve the most effective outcome for the client, team and agency

  • Develop strong relationships across the agency

  • Represent the team and Wray Ward in a positive manner in all endeavors


  • 2–4 years of experience as a social buyer executing across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong understanding of paid social campaign management technology, from implementation to daily management of optimization features

  • Experience and ability to perform data analysis along with strong Excel skills

  • Strong quality assurance abilities with an eye for detail

  • High levels of integrity, autonomy and self-motivation

  • Demonstrate the ability to use paid social strategy to complement PR campaigns and meet business objectives

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

  • Strong organizational skills and effective management of multiple projects

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, demonstrating energy and passion for the work

  • Effective problem-solver and generator of innovative solutions

  • Focused on delivering great work, no matter how big or small the project

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
