Our senior digital designers are talented, passionate professionals with a drive to create beautiful, effective UX/UI work.

We operate in a collaborative environment, and our designers work with other disciplines on a daily basis, from writing to analytics to client services, all while maintaining high standards for design and execution. An understanding of interactive design is expected for this role. Your job is to create best-in-class design mockups, prototypes and assets that achieve our clients’ goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities as Senior Digital Designer

  • Concept and create campaign concepts and design executions that are on-brand and on-strategy
  • Articulate ideas and communicate proactively with Director of Digital Platforms and Creative Director(s) to determine visual design, messaging strategy, and conceptual direction
  • Assist with the creation of visual design prototypes, mood boards, wireframes, site maps, emails, banner ads, icons and other necessary design assets
  • Work under the Director of Digital Platforms and Creative Director(s) to solve an array of visual and interactive problems
  • Create, and contribute to, design comps and identify how to extend a brand’s visual language to any project or platform
  • Work closely with strategists, developers and other members of the brand team to ensure design follows best practices and is executable from a development and budgetary standpoint
  • Proactively work with account leads to become knowledgeable about brand, client expectations, and project goals.
  • Ensure work always meets timing, budget, and exceeds quality expectations
  • Stay current on digital design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Produce all necessary design elements, assets, templates, graphics, etc., based on established design direction, systems and style guide
  • Represent the Digital team and Wray Ward in a positive manner in all endeavors
  • Passionately uphold the agency brand, culture and values

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of digital design experience, agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong conceptual thinking — both visual and interactive.
  • Understanding of user experience design, information architecture and usability principles
  • Understanding of graphic design principles (typography, color, layout, etc.)
  • Proficiency in all appropriate software
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and capabilities of browsers and design constraints for the Web. Our designers don’t code, but a basic understanding of development best practices and limitations is required.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web design
  • A strong knowledge with grids and grid theory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating groundbreaking work
  • Desire to deliver “beyond the ask”
  • A willingness to learn and improve your skill set
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
