The Human Resources and Benefits Manager is an experienced human resources generalist responsible for administration and enrollment of Wray Ward benefits.

Working closely with the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Director and Benefits Manager will also support employee relations at each stage of the employee life cycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Human Resources and Benefits Manager

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, administration and information provided to employees

  • Assist with employee relations including onboarding and offboarding, Family Medical Leave and short term medical leaves, promotions, performance improvement plans, change in benefits, etc.

  • Assist with imputing employee data in HRIS, and changes supplied to benefit plan vendors, and for federal and state employment reports

  • Help facilitate annual open enrollment for health benefits; including compliance reporting

  • Help facilitate and document any other general benefits and programs

  • Manage new hire health benefits enrollment

  • Serve as point of contact for health and other benefits

  • Support the HR & Accounting partnership by helping to implement HR procedures with payroll processes

  • Support continuous improvements to our HRIS processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting

  • Provide support for Performance Development Conversations Program

  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

  • Support and assist with complex employee relations matters

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition & HR Group Director to align internal policies and champion changes when our policies need updating and alignment with federal and state employment laws

  • Assist with updating and documenting operational policies and procedures

  • Support talent acquisition process as needed

  • Support agency projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, experience in a marketing communications agency or related industry

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

  • SHRM certification required

  • Proven experience with benefits programs and administration

  • Demonstrated skills using HRIS systems maintaining employee data and executing reports

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures

  • Strong PC skills and MS Office, Google Suite; Zoom skills

  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

  • Must be based in the Charlotte, NC area (this is not a remote role)
