The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting with general accounting functions, accounts receivables, accounts payables and credit card payables.

Additional responsibilities expected of the Accounting Manager will include working closely with the Corporate Services Director to resolve high level client billing and accounting matters and assist with billing workflows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as Accounting Manager:

  • Assist with accounts receivables and account payables processing and reporting
  • Work with various departments to ensure payables are entered into Advantage (software)
  • Oversee production and media payables check runs and payments by credit card
  • Accurately perform reconciliation of cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Ensure payables are paid in a timely manner while adhering to departmental procedures
  • Assist with billing including supporting reports from agency software - Advantage and Workfront

  • Communicate in a clear, coherent, accurate and professional manner
  • Conduct clear and candid communication with team members and clients
  • Listen well and solve problems to achieve the most effective outcome for the client, team, and agency
  • Develop strong relationships across the agency
  • Represent the team and Wray Ward in a positive manner in all endeavors

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in accounts receivables/accounts payables; general accounting
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating energy and passion for the teamwork and finding solutions
  • Effective problem-solver and generator of innovative solutions
  • Focused on delivering great work, no matter project size or complexity
  • Well versed in applicable software and technology platforms Advantage and Workfront
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with a strong knowledge in Excel
