Quality on Tap: Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Case Study

Client News

Quality and purity are two driving principles behind Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (OMB) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since 2009, they’ve brewed beer in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, a German law requiring beer have only four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.

When selecting a compressed air system and nitrogen generator for their brewing processes, OMB turned to Atlas Copco. With two Atlas Copco SF 22 full-feature oil-free scroll compressors delivering pure, oil-free air to the entire brewery for equipment process control, for wort aeration for the yeast prior to fermentation and to power the onsite NGP nitrogen generator, OMB is guaranteed that their air is clean, their nitrogen is pure and their beer is always uncompromised.

“Our passion and standards for our product are matched by the Brewery; we are both committed to excellence, integrity and providing our customers with top-notch service. We don’t believe in putting something in that could potentially contaminate the final product we deliver to the customer,” says Robert Tucker, an Atlas Copco product manager. “Commitment doesn’t cut corners.”
