POV #9: Marketing Impacts Due to COVID-19

COVID-19 Response

Halfway through May, even the most optimistic among us would say the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is barely in its infancy. Unemployment continued to rise this week despite almost every state implementing some early reopening measures. Yet market, media and brand news show companies are generally shifting from surviving the day to planning for what’s next.

How quickly will the economy and the home and building category recover? That all depends on how quickly our manufacturing and service sectors can get back to work as well as our ability to keep hospitalizations due to COVID-19 on the decline.

We’re on our way back, but we face a long road. As companies bring employees back to offices and manufacturing facilities, they must continue to focus on digital communication strategies, e-commerce optimization and flexible plans for moving their businesses forward. To support the recovery, Wray Ward will continue publishing weekly updates with the most current data and insights to help guide you through an unprecedented situation. However the pandemic has affected your business, we’re here to help.

If you have questions or want to discuss specific next steps for your brand, please feel free to contact Wray Ward Vice President and Director of Connections John Mader.
