Heather Dumford, Katie Moore Howson Named Associate Creative Directors

Agency News

Wray Ward is broadening the agency’s creative leadership, naming Heather Dumford and Katie Moore Howson associate creative directors.

“Heather and Katie each have the natural ability to lead and think big picture outside of their own creative disciplines,” said John Roberts, vice president and executive creative director. “They set the tone for the types of thinkers we want; creative leaders who can bring magic and logic together to do amazing work for our clients.”

Dumford joined Wray Ward two years ago as senior designer, bringing with her nearly 10 years of experience with home and building category brands. She began her career on the agency side with PureRED Integrated Marketing in Atlanta, Ga., working with brands including Lowe’s Home Improvement, Husqvarna, Kohl’s, Kolbalt and Valspar. She joined client Lowe’s at their Mooresville, N.C., headquarters as a digital designer for several years before coming to Wray Ward, where she could apply her category knowledge and design talents to client programs for Moen, Caesarstone and Palmetto Bluff.

Howson joined Wray Ward as a senior copy writer three years ago, when she began crafting copy for all mediums for clients from VELUX Skylights to Crescent Communities. Prior to Wray Ward, Howson was with MTV, where she worked as a writer/producer. Her work was recognized at the MTV Video Music Awards with the Creativity Integrated Campaign Design Award in 2014 and the PromaxBDA Award in 2013. In addition to her work with MTV, Howson was a freelance writer with JEAN Productions and LOGO On-Air Promos, writing and producing original creative concepts for network clients including TBS, USA and Lifetime as well as topical scripts for the comedy news series “The Straight Out Report.”
