A responsive site specifically designed for consumer audiences, allows VELUX to educate, engage and inspire homeowners and give them the information and confidence they need to move from planning to purchase.

Project Overview

What We Did

Having increased consumer awareness about skylights, VELUX wanted to reach consumers who were considering skylights for their homes and answer their most frequently asked questions. To develop this educational online experience, VELUX tasked Wray Ward with creating a consumer-focused site that would allow users to quickly and easily find the information they needed as they researched skylights. Our team created Why Skylights, a responsive site featuring simple navigation and answers to consumers’ top questions.


By specifically targeting consumers and preemptively addressing their most pressing questions, the campaign increased both traffic to the site and the time spent on it. New products and streamlined information helped generate more leads and encouraged repeated visits to the site.

Digital Experience

Our team created Why Skylights, a responsive site designed specifically to inform, engage and inspire consumer audiences. Featuring simple navigation and beautiful photography, the site directly addresses consumers’ top questions about choosing, installing and replacing skylights.

Motion & Video

Wray Ward shot and edited a series of videos that demonstrates just how dramatically a skylight can transform a room. These videos also helped to inspire consumers by showing skylights in a range of homes and rooms.

Print Advertising

Guided by market research, our team developed a concept that highlighted two skylight benefits: fresh air and daylight. The ads brought these benefits to life with stunning photography and then directed consumers to learn more at

Content Marketing

To engage consumers and build interest, we generated branded content for VELUX digital properties on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. With a mix of photography, video, contests and discussions, we were able to harness social media to keep consumers informed, entertained and inspired.
