Inspired by the durability of antique craftsmanship, Kincaid Furniture’s new collection supplies an artisanal and industrial feel. The solid wood industry leader is also adding The Nook, its new casual dining program, and colorful, design-your-own options to its popular upholstery line.

Traverse is a whole-home collection crafted from solid Appalachian maple. With smooth interlocking joints, butterfly joinery and custom industrial-inspired hardware comprised solely of maple and metal, it serves as an ode to artisans of the past. The Traverse collection may lean contemporary; however, this collection embraces a casual flair and an emphasis on handmade craftsmanship. A robust expression of traditional cabinet-making details, Traverse is designed with crisp contemporary lines and scale in mind. Additionally, designers left a “live edge” on some of the pieces; the natural character lines give pieces like the headboard and dining room table a genuine, one-of-a-kind feel. A result of thoughtful craftsmanship complete with seamless joinery and mixed mediums, the rustic, Scandinavian-inspired collection features an array of bedroom, dining room and occasional creations, with select pieces embellished with raw metal details. The dining room features ladderback chairs indicative of the era with an upholstery option.

Kincaid is also introducing The Nook, its new casual dining program. Available with solid maple or solid oak, the program offers two round and two rectangular table footprints in standard height and counter height, as well as chair and bench seating. Each table is available with a wood or metal base. Competitively priced, this program was designed with the modern, active consumer in mind. The Nook pieces will be readily available for consumer purchase in early 2017 and supported with full inventory for quick-ship delivery.

Kincaid is also updating its custom upholstery offerings at High Point Market; introductions feature a broad variety of fabrics and styles from bold, textured patterns and geometric looks to rich, timeless solids. Through the brand’s new Premiere Color painted wood initiative, consumers will be able to create distinct accent pieces. With an array of painted wood and fabric options, customers will have the unique opportunity to tell a bright, energetic color story in their home. Kincaid is also expanding on its successful build-your-own programs, providing consumers with more than 16,000 custom options.

Products will be on display in the 75,000-square-foot showroom for Kincaid, American Drew and Hammary, located in C926 on the ninth floor of the International Home Furnishings Center.
