The Charlotte in 2012 Convention Host Committee has selected Charlotte marketing communications firm Wray Ward as a creative partner to help tell the city's story through a wide variety of messaging, visual and electronic outreach tools.
"As we reviewed potential communications partners, it was important for us to utilize local talent to creatively convey the vibrancy of the Charlotte region,” said Tracy Russ, Chief Marketing Officer with Charlotte in 2012. "Our goal is to create a memorable experience for the people in this community as volunteers, supporters and hosts, and also to give our 35,000 guests from around the world an authentic Charlotte experience that conveys the pride and unity of this region.”
Charlotte firm k2forma also was selected as a communications partner for Charlotte in 2012. Wray Ward and k2forma will work closely together with Charlotte in 2012 to build a brand experience that brings all aspects of the region to life up to, during and beyond the convention.
"From the time visitors arrive in Charlotte, they will be welcomed, surprised and continually learning all Charlotte has to offer,” said Jennifer Appleby, president and chief creative officer of Wray Ward, which is celebrating 35 years of creative excellence and community involvement this year.
