BECO South Names Director of Tenant Services

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 25, 2010) BECO South LLC has hired Rebecca Heckaman as Director of Tenant Services, a new position that will lead event planning and tenant amenity services for the company's Innovation Park, the university area's largest commercial property.

"We're excited to welcome Rebecca to BECO where she'll help us bring to life our vision of creating extraordinary experiences for the people who work at Innovation Park,” said Chris Epstein, president of BECO South LLC, a Charlotte-based division of BECO Management. BECO purchased the distressed  property in March 2010 and is in the final stages of planning for a $25 million renovation.  

Heckaman, a graduate of Purdue University's School of Consumer and Family Sciences, comes to BECO from Chicago, where she held hospitality positions with the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, Palmer House Hilton and Ritz Carlton. Her experience in customer relations and hospitality coordination will help BECO South as it plans to create a dynamic workplace on Innovation Park's 200-acre campus with a major rollout of revitalization efforts and amenities. Plans include renovations of buildings and common areas and major new improvements such as food choices, fitness centers and a five-star child care solution. Several improvements, including way-finding signage and new food service, have already launched. Plans for the campus also include amenities and entertainment such as a speakers series, concerts and more.

Innovation Park, managed by BECO South with leasing partner Jones Lang LaSalle, currently has 700,000 square feet under lease including Areva, Classic Graphics, Enterprise Leasing Company-Southeast, IBM, Hewitt Associates, Wainwright Industries, Viance Engineering and Strayer University.
