Wray Ward Names Rob Horton Vice President, Director of Client Engagement

Continuing in its goal to bring its customers effective results through creative, collaborative marketing programs, Wray Ward has named marketing veteran Rob Horton vice president, director of client engagement. Horton comes to Wray Ward after 25 years of building brands for Fortune 500 companies, including the last 10 years working with brands that align with the agency's expertise in the home category.

"Rob is a great strategic planner whose collaborative approach and nimble thinking in building brands reflects our culture, our customers and the market today," said Jennifer Appleby, president and chief creative officer of Wray Ward. "His home category experience aligns well with our expertise in the marketplace, and his insightful client perspective will quickly become an invaluable asset to our agency as we continue to help our customers build their brands and drive their sales."

With experience in a range of B2B and B2C channels, Horton comes to Wray Ward after 10 years with PPG Architectural Coatings/AkzoNobel Paints, where he built preference among professionals and consumers for brands including Ralph Lauren Paints, Glidden and Liquid Nails.
He spent the 15 years prior to PPG with Nestle Prepared Foods Company and the Coca-Cola Company working in sales, insights and marketing positions.

As Wray Ward's director of client engagement, Horton will lead the agency's account leadership and project management groups in using insights and experience plans to develop and execute creative marketing solutions that foster engagement to meet business and sales goals.

Horton earned his B.S.B.A. in Marketing from John Carroll University and M.B.A. in Finance & Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University. He is an active community volunteer, including serving on the boards of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and Beaumont School, where he chaired the school's marketing committee. He also facilitated an Appreciative Inquiry Fund Development Strategy Session for Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.

He will live in Charlotte with his wife and three children.
